Help with tomato plants?

I planted some grape tomatoes indoors a few weeks ago. They grew fast, into tall sprouts with 2 leaves at the end of each. But now they're not doing much. Some of the sprouts have shriveled up and the others look the same as a week ago. What am I doing wrong? I already gave them a little plant food especially for tomatoes.

Help with tomato plants?
It could be your soil. Get some good sterile soil like miracle grow potting soil.

Could be the fertilizer. Mix the fertilizer like the directions tell you and not much stronger or you will burn the plants. If it says 1/2 teaspoon per gallon you might be able to put a full teaspoon in but no more.

Water, make sure the have a good drain so the plants don't sit in water.
Reply:They're reaching for the light, and running out of energy. Fertilisers won't help a little tiny plant with a limited root network. Try giving them more light.
Reply:Sounds to me like they are not getting enough light. Tomatoes need 14 - 16 hours of sunlight a day and sitting them in a window is not sufficient. I assume that you will eventually be growing them outside on a patio or deck? Put the seedlings outside in a sheltered but sunny spot every day, and bring them in at night if the temperature is going below 50. Otherwise just leave them outdoors.
Reply:It could be the roots outgrew the pots or they need more sun light if the weather is nice where your at like no more frost try replanting them out doors
