There is a product at the hardware store called Diatomacious Earth. It is actually made from the shells of microscopic creatures (you can't make this stuff up!)

You sprinkle it on the tomato plants, and the worms will immediately leave -- the shells are so sharp, it hurts to crawl on them! It is great for slugs or cabbage worms or those creepy green tomato caterpillars.

The downside/upside is that it rinses off with water, so you will have to reapply after it rains (but you can also wash it off your tomatoes.) It does not hurt flying polinators, either. Just be sure to dust the underside of the leaves as well as the tops. I always put a little on the ground around the plant as well.

Good luck!
Reply:The easy method is just hand picking. I'm assuming you've got tomato hornworms?

When I'm too busy to handpick, I hire the neighbor's kids... they do a good job for $10/week.
