Can I move my tomato plant without killing it?

My tomato plant is like two and a half feet high and is overshadowing one of my three limited-space gardens. I didn't realise how bushy certain types get (since my other ones are so small). Will it kill the plant if I remove it from the first garden and put it into a second one where it will give the other plants some breathing room?

Can I move my tomato plant without killing it?
Yes.. They are actually pretty rugged ... Dig well away from the base of the plant ( have its new home ready before you dig up the plant ) Place it in its new home, and water well, and continue to water. It may wilt a bit from the stress, but it will soon recover , as long as you keep it watered ... Good Luck !
Reply:I wouldnt di it up at all, just trim off all the stems that dont have tomatos on em except the ones above the flowers. maybe thatll shed some light on ur subjects.
Reply:The bigger it is, the more chance you have of killing it. Yours is pretty big. You may be able to, just keep it well watered and preserve the roots as much as possible.
Reply:yes .....
Reply:I would dig them up with a good size root ball (make sure you have the new space for them already prepared) and as soon as possible plant into their new home and water thoroughly. Dont worry if the roots are damaged a little, they will grow more.
