How often do I put Sevin Dust on my tomato & bell pepper plants? : }?

Hi,the back of the can states,(I just read it) every 7 days.So I'm guessing every 7 days! By the way your tomatoes and bell peppers are considered ornamental plants.

How often do I put Sevin Dust on my tomato %26amp; bell pepper plants? : }?
DON"T USE SEVIN!!

It kills Bees.....and everything else...Harmful and Beneficial.

If you are worried about cut worms, horn worms, caterpillers which munch on your plants, try BT(bacillus thuringeiensis).....for Aphids, insecticidal soaps( or just some dish soap and water)

The risks to good bugs (and to YOU are not worth the higher yeilding of crops)....I have my Pesticides licence and would NEVER spray Sevin.
Reply:Do you plan to eat the tomatoes and bell peppers? Then use a plant-extract type of insecticide (they are a little more expensive but much safer and do not have any long residual effect). I wouldn't even consider using Sevin Dust directly on the plants (and fruits). On the ground, maybe.

But if you do, about 7 - 10 days.
Reply:I would definitly rotate chemicals. Insects can become resistant to the chemical if you use it continually. Try to use at least 3 chemicals in your rotation. Plus, Sevin is pretty harsh. There are definitly more "soft" chemicals out there that are easy on beneficials as well.
