My tomato plants on my kitchen window(plenty of afternoon sun) lost flowers but no fruits are appearing??

If you lost the flowers you will not get fruit, make sure your plant gets plenty of water, and regular feeds.

When flowers drop off it's usually a sign of sudden temperature change.

They need fresh air and tomato feed for them to flower.
Reply:Are you giving it plenty of water? Tomatoe plants require a lot of water: and perhaps just the afternoon sun is not quite enough? Is your kitchen air conditioned so the plant is getting lots of sun but no intense heat?
Reply:Yes i had 2 in the window ,,,they grew right up to the ceiling ,,,all leaves,,,if you dint put them outside,,you wont get any fruit,,,,on them,,,
Reply:Outside, right?
Reply:I think the real question is are you growing a fruit or a vegatable.
Reply:You said your kitchen window. Does that mean inside? If so, they should really be outdoors. They like fresh air and a breeze. It sounds like they didn't get pollenated.
Reply:This might be just a guess, but, I have a feeling they aren't polinating each other. The plants would need wind, bugs, birds or something to cross polinate the plants. The little things make all the difference in the world. Good luck growing them.
Reply:Tomato plants need lots of sun, much more than the afternoon sun. The should be outside too, and planted very deep, even if it's in a pot.
Reply:I assume thay are outdoors... if so a key factor will be the soil they are planted in. If the soil is in a reused container it is a good bet it has been depleated of the specific nutrients need by the plant. The second issue is HEAT... for some reason tomato plants will grow fairly well in hot temps but not procuce new blossoms.

You can try moving them to a shady area for part of the day.
