Lucky you, you must be someplace nice and warm!
You need to keep your ground evenly moist until the seeds germinate. Assuming you don't have any rain, this might be three times a week or more, if you have constant bright sunshine. Your seed should be up withing 7 to 10 days...possibly a bit longer.
Water them CAREFULLY after they've germinated. You don't want to drown them, and too much water can bring on the fungus that causes stem rot. The zucchini will come up nice and sturdy, but you might want to water the others with a mister for a couple of weeks...they'll be delicate. Good luck! :)
Reply:depends on the heat,,you want to keep them damp at least...
Reply:Put an empty clean tuna fish/cat food can out in your garden
If the natural rain doesn't fill the can every week you need to water
You need an equal of about 1 inch of rain per week
Reply:Go to the Walmart, Lowes, or Home Depot gardening department and get a soil moisture meter. The one I got cost less than $10 and does a good job of taking the guessing out of it all.
