How do i keep insects off my tomato plants ?
go to nursery and get the right dust or spray
Reply:spray with insect-bee-gone
Reply:I agree with Madame M's last remark. Automatically spraying with Sevin may not get rid of the bug if it is not within that pesticides capabilities. Not all contact kill sprays will work with all bugs. You can also consult your local extension for a list of recommended treatments for specific bugs. Oregon State University has an excellent extension for this.
Reply:pesticide.
Reply:Here are some organic answers: put a net over the tomatoes before there are any insects, and that will keep them out. (Yeah, I know, too late.)

Pick them off by hand -- if you only have a few tomato plants, this takes a few minutes, and works wonders. Use gloves, and dump them into a bucket of water so they drown. You can then toss it in the compost pile.

Try planting marigolds around the tomato plants.

Blast the bugs off with a stream of water.

Hope that helps. If it doesn't, ask your gardening center for a good insecticide. It might help to bring a picture of the bug you are trying to get rid of.
Reply:spray them with your dish water.
Reply:Dust them with sevens dust. You can find it in the garden center at Wal-mart or Lowe's and Home Depot
Reply:remove the tomatoes
