Will jalapeno plants make tomato plants hot, if planted to close to each other.?

No, however a spray made of water and ground jalapeno or cyanne pepper sprayed on your tomato plant will help keep aphids and other insects off your tomatos

There is such a thing as cross pollination. If you plant sweet peppers next to hot peppers and save the seeds (heirloom variety) you may have hot sweet peppers when you plant the seeds next year. It's a possibility with the tomatoes also. But it will be from the saved seeds. Usually hybrid seeds will not do this. You really don't want to save seeds from a hybrid variety because you really never know what you will get. Okra is the easiest veggie to do this with. Plant Clemson and Texas long horn next to each other.

save the seeds of one and see what happens next planting season. It has something to do with the pollinators going back and forth between plants.
Reply:This is not possible. A hybrid of the two could not even be genetically engineered. Each plant chooses the nutrients it needs selectively from the soil. Even if you watered the tomato plant with hot pepper water, the tomatoes would still taste the same (it may damage the plant so don't try it).
Reply:Theres no chance that will happen ,I used to live in a trailer park and planted them side by side. Just be sure that you give them enough room so they don't shade each other out.
Reply:no. that's absolutly not true.
Reply:Not to my knowledge.
