Leaves on tomato plants are dying. i don't water them to much, can someone tell me what i might be doing wrong

That happens to my tomato plants almost every year. You may be underwatering them or you may have a disease. I forget the name of it but the leaves just slowly die. You still get good fruit but eventually the whole plant will die. It does take awhile though.

I'm sure they have some sort of disease. The possibilities are a wilt or nematodes. Nematodes are a type of worm that can live in the roots of tomato and other plants. They will restrict the roots from taking up water and nutrients from the soil and eventually kill the plant. The cure takes a long time and isn't always effective. You need to select plants that are nematode resistant. Look for this: VFNT, the N stands for nematode resistant. The VF are two types of wilt resistance and the T is for tobacco worm.
Reply:If you don't have disease resistant plants, it could be anything. Tomatoes are susceptible to wilt and if they are young and the leaves are wilting, that could be it. If the leaves are yellow, the soil needs to be enriched. Take a soil sample to your local ag. office and have it analyzed. Also, make sure they have enough water and food (nitrogen enriched).
