My tomato plants are not developing properly. They have very small leafs and thick stalks.?

The new leaves started well, but now seem to stay curled up.

Curled up leaves in plants are a signal that they are trying to conserve water. It's just like when you bundle yourself up to conserve heat. Make sure you don't over water but do water deeply, every three or four days might be enough. Too much water will take away from the flavor of the fruit. Also make sure to pick off the new leaves (called suckers) that sprout up between stalks.
Reply:there is a virus going around that is infecting tomato plants every wheres,, many people here are having the same problem.. it is best to pull and burn the plants,, start over,,,
