Planting tomato's outdoors in different states?

Im in Missouri, and we plant our tomato plants around mothers day (May 11 i think). I was just curious if different states plant at different times, What state are you in and what time do you plant your tomato plants outdoors?

I use the Wall O water system surrounds and have been successful planting in late April. It also depends on the variety. Most Roma's are sensitive to cold. Beefsteaks, Big Beef, Biltmore, Super Steak and the like can tolerate lesser degrees than canning types.
Reply:I am in southeast Texas. We put our small plantings out about a month ago. Not ripe yet, but the vines are loaded with small tomatoes. We are lucky that we usually will have tomatoes way into the fall. We even had them last year at Thanksgiving. Not many, but still had a few. We have a long growing season here because of the mild winters.
Reply:I'm in southern Louisiana and my tomato plants have been in the ground since mid March. They are about 2 ft tall and full of green tomatos. I even picked a couple of peppers today.
Reply:Here in California we plant them in March. Ours are about a foot tall already with lots of blossoms. Can't wait to eat a homegrown tomato....yum!
Reply:San Antonio, Tx - my seedlings have been out for a couple weeks already.
Reply:Kansas City.....always Mothers Day....good job
