How would you ship tomato plants so that at their destination they would be live and in good condition?

I have ordered many plants throught the mail. The best have been roses. Hopefully your tomato plant is in a 4 inch pot or similar. Make sure the plant is well watered to begin. Wet some strips of newspaper and pack it around the soil of the pot around the stem of the plant. Put the whole pot inside a small plastic bag that is tall enough to bring up and tie around the stem of the plant(not around the leafy part). Wedge the pot/s inside a box that is just tight enough for them and make sure it is upright. Seal box and label "this side up". Ship USPS "Priority" or Fed-Ex the fastest way possible when the weather is cool if at all possible. Good luck.
