ONCE A DAY AT DUSK, YOU DONT WATER DURING THE DAY AS THE SUN WILL DRY-UP THE WATER FASTER AND BURN THE PLANTS.

How many times per day do you water tomato plants in south Texas?
You water them whenever they dry out. In the heat of the summer that could mean a thorough soaking twice a day, or even three times a day.



Tomatoes will tell you when they need to be watered. Their leaves will begin to look wilty. Don't wait too long after that, because you don't want the plant to suffer and not produce good fruit. Also, be sure to fertilize heavily. You almost can't over-fertilize tomatoes.
