For the past few days I have been smelling something really bad when I was watering my tomato plants and last night my boyfriend found a huge dead rat in them. He is pretty sure it died from poison he had put out a couple of months ago in the attic. My question is how safe would it be to eat the tomatoes now, to me it seems pretty gross and not safe at all but my boyfriend thinks I'm crazy.

It does not effect the tomatoes , only psychologically.

Reply:I would be too grossed out to eat them. I don't think the poisen woud get into the tomatoes themselves.
