Do or can cows eat tomato plants?
y do u care??
Reply:Hmmm. I always heard that the foliage was poisonous. I wouldn't deliberately feed them tomato plants.
Reply:cows do not eat tomato plants
Reply:They will eat tomato plant if there is not an other plant they like better. The fruit they like it a lot, I Have seen in some ranch thy feed cows from time to time with tomatoes since the tomato fruit has a lot of water cows gain weigth easily.
Reply:Cows eat anything and everything, and tomato is no exeption. The cow at our farm started choking once, and when we extracted whatever it was eating, it turned out to be someones red frilly panties.

But they're not too healthy to feed them on a regular basis( I mean the tomatoes. Although panty isn't a very healthy food either). The best thing to feed them is grass and hay. Hay gives them a bit of roughage too. You can mix whatever you want in the hay though.
Reply:yes
Reply:Tomoatos are of the nightshade family, which can be toxic if too much is consumed and depending on the variety. (Stinging-nettle is nightshade and cows won't eat that.) Humans with arthritis will find their joints less painful when cutting tomatos and bell peppers (yes, a nightshage) from their diet.
Reply:yep
Reply:Yes and even Rose bushes and lots of other things
Reply:i don't no but I'm intrigued to find out
Reply:Cows will eat almost anything;I've seen them eat up a garden including watermelons. They bust them open then go at it just as I've seen them eat whole potatoes. It all depends on the cows .
