I am wandering if anyone has trans plated tomato plants to an indoor container and how successful this was.?

I am wandering if anyone has trans plated tomato plants to an indoor container and how successful this was.?
Sure. But if this is a tomato that's borne fruit all summer, it's going to have a hard time adapting to life inside, you'll need a big pot (5-10 gallons minimum) and you're likely to be bringing in disease and insect problems.





Once indoors, tomatoes will require full sun, temps over 50oF at night to continue blooming, and increased humidity over the usual US heated house.
Reply:I live in the south near the Gulf Coast. There are lots of insects here, including squash bugs. Between the insects and birds, there wasn't much left for me. So, I will not grow tomatoes outside anymore. My horticulture class friends have decided to grow tomatoes using the hydroponic system and they are having great success. That may be the way to go.
Reply:yes. if you are going to have them indoors, you will have to regularly take them outside for sunshine. also keep them watered. leave them outside all day.
