A safe, maybe organic, pesticide for my tomato plants in Fl ?

We planted a garden this year, but I guess because we have had no rain in over 40 days, the bugs are loving life. I successfully use tins of beer on the ground for the slugs, but now I need help for the rest! Any suggestions are appreciated!

ok this sounds gross...go buy a can of Copenhagen snuff (chewing tobacco) and dump it in a quart fruit jar of warm water and make tea. after about 24 hours strain the tea into a 2 gal pump up sprayer with about 1/4 cup of dish soap or your favorite surfactant (wetting agent). spray this every other morning and the little buggies will die. some folks say that this will cause you tomatoes to get tobacco Mosaic virus but i never had it to happen to me and Ive dont it for years....nicotine is one of the strongest poisons known to man. another thing to try is encouraging martins to nest around the garden. you get a 3 fold benefit from this....1)they eat bugs....2)they poop out fertilizer....3)they sing songs.......have fun
Reply:dish detergent and water works well as far as organic is concerned.i perfer (sevin) dust, not organic but is safe.see site.
Reply:Do yourself a favor and buy Seven Dust and apply it in the early morning hours before the dew dries. That will hold them for at least a week. You'll need to repeat this every week and after it rains, should it finally rain.
Reply:Garden Safe brand Insecticidal Soap or beneficial nematodes
